K-9 Email Settings

Hi
I'm new to this forum. From BB to Droid I see there is huge difference on emails. Last night I was working with K-9 email.
I have 3 emails: Gmail working OK
Yahoo working OK (using K-9)
and there is work account. I can receive emails OK but cannot send any out. Because I cannot use work SMTP server I went and enter my smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com port 587 require sign in.
There are lots of errors: from push error: null / relay access denied / imap server is not idle capable...
Can I have same SMTP under two accounts? Can anyone help please

Thanks Andrew:mad::confused:

I can answer this one my self. Email needs to be verified with yahoo. WORK's

I have my college email's SMTP working under Yahoo's. I didn't have to verify anything at all either.

OH I did have to change the SMTP login/password settings to my YAHOO rather than my college's.

Of course I haven't tried sending anything from my college email so maybe it doesn't work. K-9 seems to not care though. Since I never really use my college email and its just there to look pretty on resume's (instead of hotmail/yahoo/gmail) I don't need it all that often.

There is one more setting I would like to know.
What are the first and second class folders.
Thanks, Andrew

That I'm not sure of. I haven't figured that one out yet. Maybe someone else can tell you though.

There's a wiki entry on developer's web site with more information on folder classes.
http://code.google.com/p/k9mail/

I haven't used this feature myself yet, so somewhat speculatvely...

It seems like it applies to IMAP only.

First you assign classes to folders (1st, 2nd, ...). Then you configure actions (like display & sync) by folder class.

I use K9 mail via IMAP. I have 2 Sent Folders with his account. Is there a way to tell K9 which SENT folder to place my messages in? Problem is, when I use my laptop email, the messages go to one folder, and with K9 it goes into a different folder.
