K-9 Mail not poping when screen off

Am i missing something?
but K-9 mail is not poping my mail server (pop3) while the screen is off.
or is screen off <> screen saver
or screen off = Wifi off.
or screen off = off off.

When I unlock the screen it then checks for mail.

I only use Wifi for data.

I love it when I reply to my own questions.

I just noticed a setting under the Wireless and Network Settings: Wi-Fi Settings > [Menu Button] Advanced > Wi-Fi Sleep Policy. It has options for "When screen turns off", "Never when plugged in" and "Never".

I set it to never and bingo.
