Help K8 phone not recognized by my windows 7 OS

My laptop with Win 7 does not recognize my K8 even after downloading the LG mobile driver 4.2.0
What now???????
 
With newer Android versions, the default USB connection is charge only. After you connect to your PC, pull down on the drop down menu and see if you have the option to change USB connection to MTP.
