k9, showing all emails when opening from notification?

not sure how i managed it but when i first got my desire and installed k9, when tapping on the notification to go directly to the email account, it would show only the new items.

however now, its showing all emails when clicking on the notification.

not a deal breaker but any idea how i would get it back to how it was?

I know this post is a year old, but did you ever get helpful reply? I'm trying to go the other direction -- I want to see all my inbox messages when I first load K-9, but it only shows me the new ones. To get my full inbox, I have to exit the app and restart, and it works fine the 2nd time. Ideas? Thanks.

This is controlled in Account Settings->Notifications->Notification opens unread messages.
