K9 - Store emails past 1 week?

Hi All,

I am using K9 email on my Galaxy S2, and it works just fine but I am having a problem: it does not seem to store any emails on the phone that are more than a week old. I came from a BlackBerry, and I am used to being able to search through my emails that are up to 6 months old, and this just doesn't seem to cut it. In the settings, under Fetching Mail, I have selected the Local folder size as "All Messages" which I though would mean it would store all my messages in there. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

menu/more/settings/account/fetching... make sure that is set for whatever time you want to keep mail on the phone, if set to a week, any messages over a week will disappear (but remain on server if you have it set that way). I use 1 month.

Okay, I go there:
menu/more/settings/account/fetching and under the setting for "Sync Messages From" I have selected "No Limit". Is this the place you are referring to?

Does K9 not just download and store them on my phone - that is, make this less a fetching thing but instead a storage thing (store them for x months)?

That's the spot, I was thinking maybe you had that set to a week. My messages stay on the phone until I delete them on my PC (which deletes them from the server), so not sure what's wrong at your end.

Do you have your "store location" set to SD card?
Local folder size? Mine's set to 10, is yours set to "all"?
