Kaspersky blocks Kies Wi-Fi

HI, I am having a problem connecting my Galaxy S2 to my PC using Kies Wi-Fi. It simply will not show my PC on the phone so I can connect to it.

If I turn off Kaspersky security (and even just Kaspersky firewall on it's own) my phone can then connect to the PC instantly and is fine.

Kies is not in any low or high restricted folders within Kaspersky that I can see.

Any ideas

Thanks.

Thanks guys, I ended up just making my modem trusted and it now works perfectly.

It was Kaspersky on PC, sorry for the confusion.

Thanks again.

Hi, can you explain what ports and protocols you have opened with Kaspersky rules? Or, how you made your modem trusted? I have the similar problem. Thanks.

I don't have an answer to your problem-I have the same problem.

Am brand new to this forum, don't know where to post a new question.

I had Kaspersky on my brand new Galaxy Tablet 10.1, had problems and had it taken off.

Also was having connecting to the internet problems, rebooted the router, is working ok now.

I know others have had this problem. Was wondering how often they have to keep rebooting or if it's a permanent fix.

I read on this forum that ASUSRTN56U is a good router to get. Does anyone else have an opinion of this?

I'm really gun shy now, thinking of returning the tablet and getting a new one and start over. I have spent hours on the phone and time with the Geek Squad here. Even though the problem seems to be fixed, the agent said he really didn't know what the problem was.

Thanks for any thoughts,

Violingirl
