Root KDZ updater Trying to root after firmware update

Has anyone used the KDZ Updater to root phone? Im not able to use gingerbreak because I updated trying to get my home screen back, now I have extra junk on my phone than before. I have tried doing instructions here Root LG Optimus Me P350 After Firmware Update but having trouble. Any help would be greatly appreciated
