Help Keep browser as Google.CO.UK when abroad

Hi there,

I am currently living abroad in Germany, and despite all my efforts, try as I might, I can't figure out how to get the default search to send me to google.co.uk in my chrome browser. Whenever I do a search, it automatically directs me to google.DE

I have played around with settings for location detection as well as those in Chrome Browser itself for the default settings and the like etc., but I can't be doing it right.

Can anyone help please?

Yours desperately and confused!
Cheers

Hi, when you say you've played around with the settings, have you got 'Homepage' On and set to www.google.co.uk ?

If I change mine to www.google.de, and restart the browser, when I open a new tab it opens to www.google.de

^^^^^^

what he said, set your HomePage to the Search site of choice....

Or, install a VPN on your phone, I have PureVPN and issues like that dissappear in seconds.

I just choose a Host Server in the country of choice, and Google says "Oh, you are in Canada... okay" and all is well.

My VPN is a subscription service, but there are some free ones out there, that might be good enough for casual use.
