I've been to the AT&T store and the Samsung rep at Best Buy about this. AT&T guy changed my sim card (not sure what that has to do with it...) and the Samsung guy ran a bunch of checks and said it all was okay - but neglected to tell me my alarm was no longer set for this morning.
Anyway, GPS dropouts as frequent as I'm having them are unacceptable. I only have a plastic case, so that shouldn't be a problem. It's the same case I've had since day 1, when GPS was.. well, slightly better at least.
I recently drove from North of Boston to Providence with no GPS signal whatsoever. I drove 15 minutes to work this morning with it cutting in and out.
I get the same results with Waze or Google Maps.
I'm ready to go back to the AT&T store and make a warranty claim, but a simple google search reveals a lot of GPS complaints. I otherwise really like the phone, but I can't get there from here with it (GPS doesn't work), I'm going to have to switch to something else.
Question is - do you think I'll have better luck with GPS replacing this S6 with another or switching it to another android phone? GPS and screen quality are my highest priorities - besides generally usability..
