The wifi where I am a lot is pretty unreliable. I'd therefore like to control when my cell phone wifi is on or off. However, everytime I turn Wifi off, it ends up coming back on. I've looked all through the settings, and haven't found anything that lets you say, "Don't turn on WiFi unless I do it manually." Am I missing that setting? What do you all do?

I run Smart Wifi. It remembers locations where I can connect (and which connection I use there, I suppose) and keeps the wifi off if I'm not at one of those locations.
But I'd bring the phone back for a warranty swap - once you turn wifi off, it shouldn't come back on until you or an app tells it to.
