I have a few android phones, the htc G1 and the hero. The hero has that new propirty keyboard which seems to irgore IME options but the older G1 which features the standard android keyboard works fine. I set the IME options in my application for a few context menus such as "search" or "done" and i set up some events for thoes triggers which all work great on the G1, but do not work at all on the hero. The hero will only display the default HTC keyboard with the return button as the action.... lame.
Can this be fixed or is this just another case of open source for the loss?
