Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 wifi only (no carrier)
I quickly found the default software keyboard to be completely unusable, especially when I need to ssh into my servers and edit text files, where Esc is critical for usage of the vi text editor.
Quick google and I had Hackers keyboard installed, and found it to be a much better keyboard in general.
However using screen keyboards bite for any serious work, so I bought the USB adapter and a small but sweet Genius keyboard.
It works but for some reason beyond my comprehension, it makes me switch the software keyboard back to default when the USB keyboard is attached.
That in itself is annoying, but to further the annoyance, making that change results in changes to the text I do not want.
For example, if I type:
It was a fine day until he came home ...
it will be changed to
It was a fine day until he came home. ..
Notice it broke the ... and moved the space.
Anyone have any suggestions on how I can keep Hackers keyboard active when I attach a USB keyboard?
Thanks.
