Help Keyboard missing at startup

I am using Moto G 2nd Gen. I am facing a problem that during suddenly the keyboard is missing and i cannot unlock my phone.
It would be helpful if anyone can help me with a solution to eliminate this problem.

Obvious first thing to do is force a shutdown (press and hold power key if it doesn't have a removable battery) then see if it's better after a restart.

You don't say whether anything changed or happened before this started. I assume you think this means nothing important had changed, but if anything at all did it might help to know what.
