Help Keyboard - where is vertical bar?

I have Moto e5 Play and have not changed the keyboard. How can I get to the keyboard screen/key where I can select a vertical bar?

Usually there is a button that you tap yo take you to an alternate keyboard.

Mine is right underneath the Caps button.

After I tap that, the caps button turns into yet another, that opens up a third alternate.

Now, keep in mind that you probably are not using the same device or keyboard as me.

But that is where my 'verticle line' is.
(That did not sound good.)

Anyway, I am using Simple Keyboard.

I found it yesterday. =\< key off the numeric screen. Thank you.
