Help Keyboard won't work occasionally.

I have a weird problem that's only just manifested itself on my OnePlus 6. On one forum of which I'm a member the keyboard displays but hitting the keys does nothing, so I can't type. If however I reboot the phone it will then work, but not for long. I was using the Gboard that came with the phone but I installed SwiftKey and the problem is the same, so it can't relate to GBoard.

Any ideas from the experts out there? Thanks.

Are you visiting the forum through a particular app or through the website?

Through its website. It's a local newspaper forum and I can access it OK and open up a response to a post. The keyboard appears but does nothing.

If you're not having any issues with other apps or websites, it might be something going on with their end.

But rebooting the phone solves it for a short time. Could it be a cache issue or a cookie problem?

Found a few threads at XDA and the OnePlus 6 forum about keyboard issues, but none that completely matches your problem. Hopefully someone else here will see this thread and have better ideas on what to try.
