Keyboard

So what has changed? Why can't you use it? We're flying blind here.

As a generic solution, try installing a different keyboard (especially if HTC are still bundling TouchPal).

Standard keyboard apps are usually not the best choice.

Perhaps you could tell us exactly what you need in a keyboard and then we could make some recomendations.

I require a simple qwerty key board.
I attach 2 screenshots of what I have now.

You won't get any more simple qwerty keyboard than the link I provided above.

And yes, whatever is going on with your keyboard looks horrible.

Maybe it has entered Swipe mode?

At any rate, try a different keyboard app until you can find the setting(s) that will bring it back to normal.

Often, long pressing a key can inadvertantly put a keyboard into a different mode.

I had a stock one that would consistantly go into a one handed mode that made the keys impossibly small to use.

That was just one of multiple reasons for me to ditch the stock keyboard app.

That little symbol in the top-left corner of the keyboard in the first screenshot (smile with 3 fingers sticking out from it) is the TouchPal logo. Try pressing that, it may be how you get to the settings.
