Hi guys

On my Galaxy s6 i have noticed that faintly in the background it has a screen kind of burnt into the screen. I can always see the keyboard even when the keyboard isnt up. I have included a screen shot so u know what i mean.

Has anyone encountered this?

I have just viewed the screenshot i posted and it doesnt show up in it. So its obviously just my screen. I have no clue how to fix this issue

Yup, that's one of the downsides of AMOLED technology. The LEDs' light output falls as they age, and the ones that are used most age fastest. So elements that are on screen most of the time (such as status bars) can become "burnt in" like this. The more time you display the same image, and the brighter you run the screen, the more likely this is to happen.

Yes it actually looks like a Facebook screen, so i guess that shows what im on alot lol any one know if getting it fixed would be covered under warranty?

Screen burn in is a known, unfortunate pitfall of OLED screens, so I don't think so.

It could depend on where you are and how old the phone is? I'm UK and we get 2 years as standard from the date the device was bought.

Dependant on the law in your country, there's no harm in trying I suppose.
