Help Keypad locking during a call

ab1203

Lurker
Hi,
Does anybody knows what actually locks the keypad when you make a call. In the manual it says it will auto lock when you put the phone to your ear but mine doesnt always do that whcih means that a lot of my calls are interupted by my (rather large) ears pressing the keypad. If I could find out exactly what locks it I can force that movement or whatever when I make a call. Thanks very much in advance.

i dont think this autolock works well in the slightest - i suspect either the sensor isn't up to scratch or samsung's drivers are terrible. i've found the best way to prevent accidental ear-button-pressing is to briefly press the lock/unlock keypad button on the side of the phone as soon as the other person picks up - if you press when the phone is still ringing it will unlock again when they answer. hope this helps
