Keypad not working

[Android Question]

Why dosnt my keypad work when trying to input numbers?? Ie trying to listen to my voicemail i cant select #1 or calling my doctors office they have options to choose from and i can hear the button being press but no action PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME ):

found this answer on a different site and it worked!!

fwd: Not sure if this is the same issue, but it's been widely reported that the DTMF tones feedback from the speaker, try turning the in-call volume way down when entering the Voicemail password and the keypad options, see if that helps

I called my voicemail, turned the volume all the way down and the keypad accepted the entry!
