Kies asking for Java (already installed) to download pics

I have the Samsung Galaxy S3 and an HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC. I'm trying to sync them using Kies Air. Every time i try to download my pictures from the S3 I receive a message that Java must be installed. I've reinstalled it 3 times with a restart each time and I still recieve the same message from Kies. How do I fix this?
