Hello everyone,
I have a problem and i hope some1 can help me, i have kies installed with all drivers and it's all ok, no errors no nothing, all working ok, i tried today to update my samsung ace to gingerbread but with no luck, right after the second window from kies when it says upgrading firmware comes up and the phone enters download mode nothing happens, my kies says 0% on the download and Vista tells me i have to install odin driver, so everything stops because of that, now i'm wondering, WHY do i need an odin driver to update through kies, and please if there is a solution tell me, i uninstalled reinstalled kies+drivers, used registry and driver cleaners, still the same thing.

BTW the phone is still intact because of the driver issue, so no changes have been made to the phone, because everytime the download fails i get a window from kies to enter emergency recovery, but that is not needed, as nothing has started on the phone side
