Root Kind of a noob question

So I have my devour and i want to root it VERY soon. Probably thursday or so. But i have a question. How do you remove apps? Specifically the verizon ones. I also have all the original apps someone else posted on this forum so i can replace them if needed. But i do not know how to do this. Thank you in advance for the help.

# mount -o remount,rw -t rfs /dev/stl5 /system
# cd /system/app
#ls
# rm [app_name].[file_type]

As always, back up anything you remove.

That will work.

You can also use the adb pull command to back it up manually.
