This was a pretty good article for Sprint's technology.

Interesting to read how it all works.

I'd rather use my 3G antenna if the speeds are fast enough than my 4G antenna that uses a lot of juice.

Thanks for the link. That is basically two separate articles jammed onto one page: one article about WiMax and another about Network Vision.

Since Sprint-Nextel originally announced the Network Vision initiative in late 2010, the plan has changed. That page could give someone the wrong impression because it hasn't been revised well enough to differentiate between the old plan and the current plan. WiMax is no longer part of the Network Vision plan.

If you are interested in knowing more about the Network Vision initiative there is a well written, easy to understand article published on Extreme Tech on May 15th. Article link: Network Vision: Sprint's path to domination. This article is the best one I've read so far.
