Root Kindle Fire HD 8.9, unable to root using Android Cowboy site.

Thanks for taking a look at my issue. I have follwed the instructions found here but to no avail: Root Kindle Fire HD 7.4.6


I have a Kindle Fire HD 8.9 with 8.4.6_user_4620220

p.s. how risky is an operation will it be to root my Kindle? How often do they brick?

Also if you don't have at least somewhat of an idea of what your doing, best to leave it alone lol. I learned the hard way a long time ago. you gotta learn from somewhere though so if you don't mind voiding warranty or possibly having a DEAD Brick on your hands its up to you. research as much as possible is your best bet.

thanks, wow that xda site is informative. I think ill wait till an easier root thats safer comes out


or maybe pay the guy at the local computer shop
