Kindle is not working well on my daughter's M9

She is telling me that the Carousel feature has just about crippled Kindle books on her brand new M9. And it has also just about ruined her Kindle Fire also. Is there a way to turn off Carousel?

I just got it for her 2 weeks ago, she has not even registered it with Verizon yet.... she is brand new to Android coming from a Lumia Windows phone.... which by BTW handles Kindle okay... she says that is because the Lumia won't support Carousel....

She is learning Android, so is taking her time getting used to the phone on WiFi so that she can just dawdle along with it until she is very familiar with how it works.

I really wish I could fix this Kindle problem for her, but I don't have Kindle installed on my S5....
so, don't know what to tell her.

all help would be appreciated.

I'm not having that issue, Kindle is as smooth as silk on my M9 and Kindle Fire. I just looked through the settings and the book carousel isn't something you can turn on and off. Not sure if it's an issue with the # of books loaded into the carousel or what, but since it's happening on both her M9 and Kindle Fire, I would bet is an issue with the App itself and she should report the issue to Amazon.

She has well into the 1,000s of books loaded.

last time she told me, it was over 5,000

the carousel keeps wanting to sell her another book, it pops up and tells her there are 4 more books like the one she is reading and then it freezes.

On my Kindle Paperwhite, I have to turn off WiFi by using Airplane Mode to stop that thing from locking up on me.
It will just freeze in place, is gone for 20 minutes, and then it comes back..... I can push the power button for a minute and force a reboot, but that does not resolve the issue, it continues to do something and never explains what is happening.....

so, I turn off WiFi for weeks at a time until I am ready to download more books from my daughter's account.
she sends me new books everytime she gets more of the free ones. we have not ever had to pay for a book,

every time she see a Free Book, she grabs it and we read it when we have the time.
