I wanted to know if anyone else experiences extremely poor rendering performance in certain 2D applications - in this case the Kindle Store.
Another that comes to mind is the accuweather application. Scrolling around on the radar map is just impossibly slow.
Is this the case for everyone? If so, why? I have force GPU rendering checked in the dev options and considering how powerful this tablet it, it's embarrassing how slowly some applications run.
It also does not seem to be affected by the power setting (power saving, balanced, performance) so I'm wondering if some of these applications are just not taking advantage of any of the 4 main CPU cores and are relying solely on that 5th lower clocked core.
Is this just lazy developing? Going from a webpage with embedded flash and HTML5 scrolling smoothly in the browser, to the Kindle Store just showing some book covers and text (scrolling at maybe 3-4 frames per second) it very jarring.
I am not rooted.
Any thoughts? Tips?
