Kingoroot Failing to root multiple devices on android 6.0

Hey all,

So im trying to root multiple devices using Kingoroot and they are both failing. my first device is a Samsung Galaxy S6 running android 6.0.1 my other device im using is a ZTE Blade V0720 is running 6.0

I thought with I would have some problems with the s6 being on 6.0.1 but definately not have any issue with the blade being on 6.0

Ive tried rooting using the android app on both devices they get to 80% on the app and fail, when I try both devices on my laptop they get to 98% and fail. both devices are reporting the same error code im tried multiple times same result with the same error code.

Am I missing something here because When I googled how to root android 6.0 everyone raved about Kingoroot. anyway if anyone could shed some light and help me out that would be great.

Cheers
Dan

A lot of one click root methods no longer work on 5.1 and above. Most devices have specific root methods per model number and Android version.
Not familiar with ZTE devices but have had success with a few Samsungs. What is the complete model number of your S6 and I'll see what I can find?

Hey guys thanks for your suggestions I'm just out atm but when I get home il try the methods of attack.

Peter when you say manually root what do you mean by this sorry only used to the one click methods.

Kingoroot usually does everything including installing recovery, superSU and rest of necessary stuff. I installed everything separately (which I'm referring to as manually). Have a look at the guide for installing recovery and superSU which @Jfalls63 referred to, plus the CF autoroot.

Hey guys so I checked out CF Auto Root that would work ive seen how its done, im just wondering is it possible to unroot it afterwards and if so how is it done?

Yep I just saw it as I finished typing up the post the s6 is now fully rooted :) Would love to know how to root my ZTE Blade pitty I cant use CF-Auto Root that app is soo easy! I guess I have to flash a custom recovery and install supersu manually.

Hey guys im just wondering is it possible to unroot the S6 so that when im in download mode it doesnt say know void warranty x1? I unrooted using super user but still have the voided warranty. cheers and does anyone know how I can flash this ZTE blade?

I believe one of the objectives of 6.x and 7.x Android versions, was to make one-click exploit roots a lot more difficult, and maybe impossible to do. Basically to improve security against malicious apps that can sneakily root devices and plant adware/spyware/malware in system without the user knowing. They actually use the same methods as the one-click exploit tools, like KingRoot.

you first need to unlock bootloader . then try kingroot with pc or laptop if fails then try manually . but you still need to unlock bootloader

now you can root in different ways . you can root with king root . king root dont always work . so you need to install custom recovery then install a custom rom like cyanogenmod(lineage OS). this will give you root permission .

Have you checked on the XDA Developers site? https://www.xda-developers.com/chainfire-releases-root-for-android-6-0-without-modifying-system/ [When it comes to the ZTE phone's they've been the hardest to root cause the encryption is "nearly impossible to crack." Also some but not all manufacturers give you the option with having an unlocked bootloader. It varies with each device. Aside from that KingRoot & KingoRoot are great rooting apps because I've had Android devices running on Lollipop that got rooted.]
