Which has better performance or battery life, I need better battery life. Is it worth upgrading and rooting to kitkat?

In my opinion I believe it depends on the ROM but I've been on CM12.1 and honestly I must say I love it. It's so much smoother than 4.4 in my opinion. no DONT Do It ! its Reall bad Cant save apps on yur phone unless you root it all thanks to kit kat
no it does not at least it didnt work for me..ma whole phone full of apps that i cudnt even save to my sd card nt worth the update do not do itThat is incorrect. However you do need root access if you want to write anything to the external SD card. Installing apps, or writing anything to internal memory works fine.
