Help Kitkat's factory reset delete lollipop's ota files?

Hi, I just downloaded the update from t-mobile via ota, and while downloading I read a lot of people complaining for battery draw, hot issues and other things, so now I don't want to install the update but ota file takes almost 1Gb plus, I don't want to install it by mistake, so, if I do a factory reset now that my phone still has kitkat 4.4.2 will delete ota files and will continue with kitkat or will install me lollipop since is already downloaded?

if you will follow this guy's procedure, you can eliminate that update file and the message to upload it will be gone also.

mind you, this is not a permanent fix, but it is a way to do away with the update if it occurs again.
