Knox not on my GS5?

RiVenoX

Lurker
My GS5 doesn't say anything about the knox warranty. It says:

ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-6900V
CURRENTY BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
REACTIVATION LOCK(KK): OFF
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
RP SWREF: S1, T1, A1, P1
UDC START

Everything else I see talks about Knox warranty void: 0x0
is mine unaffected? Can I safely root without potential warranty issues? I'm hesitant because I already replaced one through Verizon due to the camera bugging out and no longer working

Don't think the Verizon version is rootable yet. Not that i've seen. Waiting on that myself.

My apologies, I didn't know you were on VZW. At&t and VZW lock their bootloaders if I'm not mistaken, so that may be why root isn't available yet. I'll be on the look out for something and post it to you if I come across anything. Thanks!

The c4 is the only one out so far . give it sometime .some of us are looking for repair updates . a lot of things I paid for Dont even work and Dont even see a little fix for . so if I root it and update come out I may lose root . I may just sell and get this m8 .

Towelroot indeed does not trip Knox.

Patiently waiting for unlocked bootloader on my rooted Verizon GS5.

So I understand that Verizon's Galaxy s5 100% has knox, but I am curious how Samsung tells in this case that knox has been tripped. Like the OP, I cannot find anywhere the line about "KNOX Warranty Void." Was this moved to a different location?

Reboot into download mode, if it's tripped it'll have x1 on the warranty counter

I should have been more clear. When I boot into download mode, I have the exact same options as the OP. There is no line for KNOX VOID WARRANTY like I see in images of other samsung devices. It just has the lines that the OP listed. The void warranty line has been omitted. So my question is, where did it get moved to?

Verizon's boot loader may say something different since it's locked...
