So I just switched to T-Mo for the Nexus and I must say I'm quite dissapointed in the coverage. Data, I mean. I've had voice everywhere I go.

But before I switched I checked the coverage map and it seems to blanket Knoxville with 3G - and as far as I know it's even got "4G". But I am only getting EDGE everywhere I go.

Is this misleading advertising, or maybe my phone is jacked somehow? Anyone in the area shed any light?

Well I will say this I tried tmobile for a few days to see there difference over AT&T and my coverage was spotty at best. It fluctuated much more frequently than AT&T and inside buildings it was weak. so I went back to AT&T

I'm coming from Sprint and the EVO and while the speeds were VERY slow, it definately was much more reliable so far. I never lost "EV" on Sprint - but it's speed here is pretty much the same as the EDGE I'm now getting on Tmo. Tit for tat I reckon. Just dissapointed that Knoxville is advertised as 4G and I don't even get 3.

I rather have reliable slower 3G than spotty dropping calls 4G

My friend is on Tmo and just got the MT4G. He has 4G service at work and home, both downtown, that absolutely destroys my speeds on VZW.

Yeah I think I may have spoke too soon. I've been driving around town and I finally got the phone to get 3g. I don't get it at home or on the way to work or at work (oak ridge)

When its fast it's FAST. When its not its horrible. Oh well I'm getting used to it.
