Kobo App Configuration

Recently installed the Kobo app, based on the information they provide in the Play Store. However, I have found that you cannot do any of the configuration that they show in their info. I contacted their help line and they told that you need to have other apps to do the things they show in the Play Store!

Has anyone else used this app successfully, they way it is advertised? I am stunned by the lack of knowledge their help line displayed, so I hope someone here can advise.

I don't know what you are modifying, but I'd ask on the Mobileread forums.

There's a hint and a hack for almost everything you want on a Kobo.

I am just trying to use the features that they show in the Play Store. I would think that if they show that you can make these adjustments, that it should be possible. Otherwise, I would see that as false advertising.

I dropped Kobo for other reasons. It might just be incompetence rather than false advertising.

Most of the ereaders have different specs. The new ones more so. If Kobo didn't specify which reader ----

I put Pocketbook on my phone. Reads EPUB and PDF.

I usually use Moonreader, which is awesome, but went to Kobo to have access to Analog magazine. I still use Moonreader for everything else. My question is: how can I do the configuration shown in the Play Store? Kobo support does not seem to know.

Go ask on Mobileread forums. Seriously. They deal with every Kobo made. Some write apps to make things easier or really customize your Kobo.

They deal with Kobo hacks and someone usually knows a bit about Moonreader as it's popular.

I think Kobo is too busy trying to expand since B&N isn't doing too well and Borders went out of business. Trying to compete with Amazon.

I was hoping that someone here might have had a solution. I find Mobileread is very focused on the readers and not the apps. But I will try them as well.
