Root L70 Key Fix

I have an L70 MS323 rooted and flashed with Simplicity. I shelved the phone about 8 months ago and it's been sitting in my closet unused but I just got it out and I'm investigating what new ROM to put on it.

My question is... I have seen references to an LG70 "Key fix" in various threads. Can someone tell me in easy to understand terms what the key fix is and how do I figure out if I need to do it??

You don't need it for newer roms, it's already integrated. Flash only if rom thread explicitly asks you to do so.

But what does "Key fix" mean? What about the keys is getting fixed?? What was not working?

Back when ms323 was not fully supported, it was using keys configuration for d320 so keys were mismatched (home did nothing, menu acted as home, or something like that). So we made a temporary keyfix. In the meantime, that fix was integrated into the source, so no need for patching. But some older rom which are not updated since then (e.g. miui v5), still need this quick fix.

Can someone help me with this keyfix?

My friend owns the D320N. He has a Problem with the keys, they are all mixed up, so it is not possible to use them.
Is there any Workaround for this? He is using the latest official cm13.
