Root Ladies and Gentlemen

WE HAVE ROOT!

I had nothing to do with it, but I must spread the good word.

We have root!!!!!

The autoscript from doomlord for zergroot didn't work for me, but the manual method did.

Go to step two on this page, and it provides a pdf of the easiest to understand instructions I've ever seen.

But do download the doomlord files, because you will need them for rooting.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but the instructions say to download the proper driver..

Where would I get that driver for the Pantech?

Thanks!

Install the software that the phone prompts you to when you connect. Then you will have the pantech adb driver. The whole process works really well. I was able to clean out some bloatware.

Is there any chance that rooting the phone may brick it? I just got this a few weeks ago and love the phone, but hate the bloatware. However I couldn't afford a new one if it were to be bricked.

I would think fairly low since you aren't doing anything with the ROM just modifying settings. Just be careful with the bloatware you remove. Search other threads to see what people have done with other phones.
