Root Lag after a day or two

Regardless of the ROM that I install, I end up having to clear my cache and dalvik after a day or two because the phone becomes very laggy. When I flash, I wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset, system, sd ext; flash rom and gapps; reboot bootloader and flash boot.img. Any advice on what could be slowing me down??

If it happens irrelevant of the rom, then it's an app or something to do with your install method (recovery, bad downloads, etc..).

try clearing your recent apps by long pressing the home key, helps mine


edit: some ROMS the menu button has to be pressed
