Lag on home screen and gaming lag

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums so I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section or anything. I bought my GS3 3 days ago and I love it. Upgraded from a 4s and it was the right choice. But for some reason every time I close an app and press the home button, the widgets lag a little and I can see the lag when flicking through the home screens. Is this normal? I already know about the windows and transition and the double tap for S Voice. Is this normal? My GS3 is the Canada model, so I have a snap dragon. Also, I nocited SUCH a huge lag while playing batman the dark knight rises and FIFA 12. What's going on?

You can try turning the animations off under settings>developer options, and set the background process limit to 4.

I dont have any lag. Never had any lag when i was stock either, besides the home button which can be fixed. Not sure what the OPs problem is

To fix the Home button lag, you turn off S Voice.
