Help Laptop suddenly not showing my phone

Hello,

I've got a Fujitsu Laptop, originally running Windows 7 but, as of around July 2016 I upgraded it to Windows 10. I've also got an Android Samsung Galaxy S2 which I often cnnected to my laptop to transfer files. However, recently, I'm not sure when exactly about a month or so ago maybe, when I plugged in my phone via USB it no longer showed up on my laptop. I can tell it's still connecting because it charges my phone, as it usually does, but it doesn't appear on my laptop.

From what I've deduced, I think it's not a problem with the laptop because I tried it on another laptop running Windows XP and same effect, and I also think it's not a problem with the USB cable because I bought another cable and tried it and, again, same effect. So, by process of elimination I'm guessing it has to be a problem with the phone.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks! :)

Do you have the USB drivers installed?

Windows 10 has a big problem with Android. There is a fix, but good luck finding it.

I think it's rather a problem with USB drivers, the generic USB drivers that come with Windows installation disk don't work for all devices.

It used to work so I assumed I had the drivers installed, and I'm pretty sure it worked after I got Windows 10 so not not if that's the problem, but it could be I suppose. Plus it stopped working on the other Windows XP laptop also.

Any other ideas and any ideas where I can download the drivers?
