laptop thinks my phone is a usb drive

shadr

Lurker
i have a t-mobile concord, and whenever i plug it into my dell laptop it always says: "CD Drive (E:.) USB_Driver". At first i thought it was just my laptop, but when i plugged it into my brother's Toshiba laptop, it said the same thing! I really don't understand, i just wanted to sync some music to it.
If there's ANYONE who can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

The phone appears as a disk drive. That's how it works. You can sync bu dragging files to and from the phone. You can use an app like MyPhoneExplorer, you can sync your contacts by making them Account contacts (they'll sync with Google Contacts). and there are apps and Windows programs to sync music and videos.

That's the problem! whenever i try and open the folder to view files it always says "Windows can't access disc" then it closes.

I have exactly the same problem. I hate the hassle of removing the microSD and connecting it to the computer to add or delete files. It does the exact same thing on both of my computers.
