I currently own the Samsung Galaxy Y Pro GT-B5510 (Successfully rooted.)
Version : 2.3.6
Baseband version : B5510XXKL1
Kernel Version : 2.6.35.7 root@DELL136 #1
Build number : GINGERBREAD =.XXKL3

I want to upgrade my firmware to the latest. (Preferably Jelly Bean.)

Can this be done or am I just down right stupid?

If not Jelly Bean, then can I install another newer version than Gingerbread?

Gingerbread 2.3.6 is the latest and last version of Gingerbread.

Otherwise putting a ROM on your device for 4.0 or higher would probably be the only way to upgrade your device.

Hello,
I updated my android using a Galaxy Y 2.3.6 Update which is for another phone, not my model.
Now my phone starts, plays the logo sound but i can't see nothing but a white display.
Is there any way i can reinstall the defalult software?
I can't boot into recovery and neither in odin download.
Kies see my device as a gt-s5360.

What can i do?
