Help Latest Galaxy Ace S5830 Official USA Firmware Build

Hello, new here. Coming from a iPhone4, downgraded to my old standby Samsung Eternity and now waiting for my new unlocked Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 to arrive.

Have done a lot of research. Loaded Kies, Odin, etc. I have a good understanding of what is necessary to upgrade firmware and what problems to look out for and their fixes.......

My question here is what is the latest STABLE Official Gingerbread 2.3.6 Build for USA to upgrade to? Most all Build's I find are from/for other regions/countries.

I have found and downloaded two that I think are correct as the latest for the S5830 Galaxy Ace:

Gingerbread S5830XWKTM 2.3.6 (4/9/2012)
Gingerbread S5830XWKTS 2.3.6 (10/24/2012)

I see there are many others: S5830XXLH4 (10/2012) is one.........it's just so confusing to me.

Now it is my understanding that I should be able to upgrade to the latest Official thru Kies and I assume that will be the XWKTS (10/24/2012).

But even if that is possible, I may prefer to use Odin. So I am asking if I do decide to use Odin, should I load the XWKTM, XWKTS, XXLH4 or something else?

And why can I not find release notes for all these Builds (in sequential order and one place)? I would like to know what has been improved since the original factory firmware (Froyo 2.2) and which one is the most stable/functional?

I think if you are getting a new ACE then it would be having the latest firmware already.
You can go for any of those firmwares you mentioned, just it has to be 2.3.6, the other letters in the firmware name only refer to the region.
Check sammobile.com, and see which is the latest firmware for your region. If your region is not listed then go for the one closest to you. But try to use Kies only if you can't find a suitable firmware for your region.

My Region is USA. Sammobile.com has ZERO builds for USA.

The phone I am getting is new in box. I have no idea how long it has been sitting on a shelf somewhere or when the last ones were shipped. I do not think any USA carriers are still selling it.

Telling me that I can use any of the three I listed does not answer my questions of what it the latest. But thanks for your reply.

I have purchased a new Galaxy Ace S7500 and no longer need the information for the S5830.

I will be selling the S5830 on eBay (when received).
