Latest OTA Update Impressions

Frisco

In seven words or less: nothing wrong before it or after it. :D

Prior to the OTA I did notice a slight lag when bringing the camera/camcorder on once in a while, and that is no longer happening.

I never had the issues noted here (spontaneous reboots, huge lag etc), so this update means little beyond just wanting to keep the old X2 up to snuff.

Sometimes there would be lag or the music would skip when listening to music and having another app running is that still happening?

The battery bug that was fixed in the leaked 2.3.5 version is back. Nice work, Motorola. :-(

Otherwise, it seems fine. I'm running Eclipse 2.2 which is based off of the latest ota and it's pretty smooth and stable.

I just made that happen.. I'm wondering, though, if it's more to do with the CPU.. heck, the X2 with Train Crisis or Where's My Water running will get laggy if a text comes in, I never thought of that as a bug so much as just too much for the chip.

No battery issues here.

I'm thinking that when they designed the phone they put alot of stock in the fact that it's dual core and has a Tegra processor but didn't put enough memory to compensate. IMO More memory always equals better performance regardless of the GPU/CPU.
