LaTeX is a typesetting tool that's great for making equations, matrices, etc. (It totally beats MS Equation, hands down!) But the learning curve is steep: you gotta learn the tex commands, compiling, no GUI, etc.
DeTeXify is great, but what I really want is a full-fledged gesture-based editor, not a symbols reference. I want to "write" my integrals and PDEs with my finger and have it recognize the whole thing and spit out LaTeX. Maybe even have the code "Sent to Chrome".
Would anyone use such an app?
I'm up for starting this up as an open-source project if others are interested in contributing.
