Launch multiple apps with one key press.

You could definitely do that with a Tasker shortcut or widget. All you would have to do is create a Task (not necessarily connected to any profile) like this:

Task: Load My Apps
Load App "Pandora"
Load App "Google Reader"


Then on the home screen, create a Tasker widget or shortcut that launches the named Task.
 
Yes. Thanks. Tasker is a very powerful tool. Have started using it for other things like putting the phone in standby after a call. I am sure that there will be lot more tweeks.
