Launcher Profiles

Hi all.

I imagine this has been asked somewhere by a few people but I am not able to find an answer

I am wanting to have a launcher were I have an have it set up for what I use at home with certain widgets and shortcuts etc and then it changes the widgets and shortcuts when I am at work. This could either be time / location /wifi activated or just be a button to I press to toggle between the 2 profiles

Does anybody know of an app or method to achieve this? I am using a Sony Z2 stock with no root. Ideally I don't want to root the device.

Any pointers / ideas would be fantastic

Cheers

Welcome to Android Forums.

Don't you have multiple home pages? Just about every phone now has at least five.

To do what you want I would leave the center one mostly blank, put all the work stuff on the screen to the left, and all the home stuff on the screen to the right.

Most phones will return to the home screen last used so selecting one is simply swipe left or swipe right.

Hi jplamb,

It sounds like Aviate may be at least close to what you seek.

The intelligent homescreen that simplifies your phone.
Yahoo Aviate is a launcher for your Android that will simplify how you use your phone. It removes clutter, automatically organizes your apps and knows when to show you the information you need, at the time it’s useful for you.
For example: Traffic conditions on your morning commute; intelligent calendar features at work; music apps and widgets when you plug in your headphones - plus your most-used apps on your center screen so you never have to hunt for them again.

May be worth a shot? :)
