Another vote for Nova, hard to go wrong with it. But avoid Go. Bloated, buggy...ugh...

While I can't speak to your experience - I'd recommend GO Launcher. Works well, and I haven't had a problem with it. I rarely buy apps but I actually bought the prime version.

I've used GO Launcher for years. The only launcher with a better dock is Holo but it's really hard to setup.

Go was very good back in 2011 when I got my SG2 Skyrocket but it's bloated and full of ads now.

Not sure what you mean by bloated but I never found the ads to bothersome. Although I did just end up buying the Prime version because I like it so well (I rarely pay for apps).
