You have to check this game out. It's basically connect 4, except it's connect 5 and you can place the pieces anywhere you want (instead of dropping them down columns). However, it's not basic like connect 4 or checkers. It's more like chess.
To play a random opponent, hit the wait button on the first screen. To play the computer, hit the ai game button.
Here are the rules of this version:
-black always goes first
-since black plays first, white is allowed to play double 3s or double 4s while black cannot do so
-6 in a row is not a win
-2 points for a win, minus 2 for a loss
Some things to keep in mind:
-you must defend an open ended 3. If not blocked, it becomes an open ended 4. Although, you can play a 4 before blocking a 3 since they must block a 4 before playing their 3.
-an open ended three can look like this (xxx) or this (x xx).
-good offense can win, but so can good defense
-be careful of defensive moves turning into an offensive play
-watch out for double 3 chances of the white player
-black cannot play in a spot that gives a double 3
