Le Pan Tablet PC970

Hi,
I have a new Le Pan Tablet PC970. It is the first time I use a tablet. I follow the instructions and yet, I cannot connect to a Network. What about a password. Should I choose it myself or is it provided by Wi-Fi? Any info will be most helpful. Thanks. O. Canada -
