Is anyone out there using the LED Cover for their Note 8? What applications are you using to utilize the LED functionality of the cover. All I'm getting is the time display.

its cheap. its very limited in what it can do.
you can see caller ID, see music controls (and it will show a chessy audio spectrum /vu meter display) amd things like alarms (using the stock alarm app i believe).
what "apps" are you trying to use it with?

If you are playing audio you can skip pause and go back by touching the icons on the case. Also swipe to answer/decline calls with the case and I drew a custom notification for a friend, it's a penis.

I use S-View cover ... samsung has dropped the price now. Better option than LED in my opinion.
