Leelbox mxq pro 4k on startup unknown password required

Hi on startup after mbox logo a black screen appears stating to start android, enter password, don't know this as didn't set it and even if I did don't have a keyboard so can't press enter remote doesn't seem to have that function so can't even try the usual manufacturers 1234 or 0000 etc can someone advise if there is any way to get past this screen or even reset my box, tried holding pick in av port on startup and still goes to same screen, any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance,

Did you buy the device brand new?

Do you have a PC mouse, plug it in, click on the password box and that should bring up the onscreen keyboard.

Hi guys thanks for ur response, Yup tried the toothpick and have got USB mouse but when clicking on password no keyboard, nothing happens and yes bought brand new online for a family memeber, getting rather frustrated now but can I ask, is there a specific procedure with the toothpick method, I have pulled power, inserted pick till click heard and remain like so while reconnecting power, tried it for 10 seconds and all way to box loads which always ends up on password screen

You seem to be running the recovery procedure correctly.

These cheap devices are brilliant when they work, but they have a massive failure rate... especially of you try to add or modify a function.

It's a bit like winning a goldfish at the fair and expecting it to live when you get it home... chances are it won't!

Time to return this device for a replacement, I think.
