I see both of these companies listed in different places. Can someone enlighten me as to how they are or are not related? I have a MOTO e5 Plus.

No worries. We know you are new to this, and we are a patient bunch. The only dumb question is the one not asked. FWIW, I would NOT buy a Lenovo based on reputation and things I've heard about them from people I know and trust. That said, I do own a Motorola Moto X4, my wife too. Lenovo seems to have let Moto run its house the as it sees fit and thus Moto doesn't seem to have the same shortcomings Lenovo does.

It is good to read that "Lenovo seems to have let Moto run its house..." I am not into cell phones as most people are. I really only want one for emergencies. I do like the apps that came with it but, for me, the price of the phone is priority. Have a great day.
